No fine-print games: here is exactly how money moves when you sell a car through this site, and what that does — and does not — change for you.
Our role
Sell My Car Hub connects vehicle owners with vehicle buyers. In some areas we purchase vehicles directly through our own buying operation; elsewhere, vehicles are purchased by partner companies and dealers, and those buyers compensate us when a sale is completed. Sell My Car Hub itself is not a dealership and does not list vehicles for sale on this site. Sellers are never charged — not for offers, not for pickup, not for anything.
The instant-offer links are referral links
Buttons and links labeled “Get My Instant Offer” (and similar) go to our buying partner's website. If you sell your vehicle there, the partner pays us a referral fee. That fee comes out of the buyer's side of the transaction — it is not deducted from what you're paid.
What compensation does not affect
The amount you are paid for your vehicle is set by the buyer and is not reduced because your sale came through us. We do not accept payment in exchange for ranking one buyer above another, and where compensation differs between buyers, that difference does not decide who sees your vehicle.
About ratings shown on this site
Star ratings and review counts shown next to our partner's name are that partner's own public ratings on Trustpilot and Google, quoted with attribution and linked so you can verify them. They are reviews of the partner, not of Sell My Car Hub. We keep the numbers current, but the live pages we link to are always the authoritative source.
About offers
Any figure discussed before a buyer inspects your vehicle is an estimate based on the description you provided. Final amounts are confirmed at inspection or pickup. Nothing on this site guarantees a specific price, and no illustration or example anywhere on this site represents an actual quote.
